with IBS

This article (in german) by Dr. Wolfgang Ebert and Tobias Groß (published in "Laser+Photonik", Iss. 1, March 2010, p. 30-34) discusses and compares the different coating methods found at LASEROPTIK with focus on IBS process and its special possibilities.

25years-SignLASEROPTIK started an "open door" day on September 3.,2009. A lot of visitors came in to congratulate, celebrate and inform themselves about the capabilities of our production. A photo gallery of LO OPEN can be seen here or at menu item "About us > 25th anniversary".
A short article (in german) describes the day and the celebrations at the "Laserhof" in Garbsen.

All curves are shown for standard combinations of coatings and substrates, listed as tab. "Standard Components", below.
Standard values of partial reflectors (output couplers, beam splitters and beam samplers) are described and listed as "Partial Reflectors", below.
Prices for complete coating runs are listed under tab. "Coatings", below.
In combination with substrate prices, higher quantities can be calculated. Please contact LASEROPTIK for price information on special designs, other substrate sizes, customer supplied substrates. Please specify your request and add a short comment.

PR 0° Partial reflectors and output coupler (OC)
for YAG, Alexandrite and Ruby lasers are available in the usual reflectivities.
AR coatings on the back prevent feedback to the laser cavity. With wedged substrates AR coatings can be dispensed, because the beam of the uncoated side is deflected off axis. To prevent energy losses, our wedged output couplers have AR coatings, too. see: table below
For Variable Output Couplers OC see: GOC (Gradient Output Couplers) in menu section "Variable"

BS 45° Beamsplitter
can be used for separation of a part by reflection and conversely for combining of two beams. AR coating on the second side improves transmission and prevents internally reflected ghost images due to interferences with the reflecting side.
Displacement of the transmitted beam depends on refractive index and thickness of the substrate.
Splitting ratio depends on polarization of the incident beam. Reflectivity in S polarization is always higher than for P, as can be seen in tab. below and in the curves.
The reflectivity of S- and P-components is very sensitive to the angle of incidence (AOI), whereas the ratio for unpolarized light (or randomly polarized) is nearly constant up to AOI 65° as can be seen for the 50%-BS 1064 nm, 45°.
see: table below
Angular variable Beamsplitter see: VA (Variable Attenuators) in menu section "Variable"

AR 45° = Beamsampler
are used for monitoring of the laser by splitting off a small, but achromatic part of the beam and direct it to a detector.
Depending on incident polarization, front surface reflectances from 1% to 10% can be attained with BK7 at 45° incidence.
