25years-SignLASEROPTIK started an "open door" day on September 3.,2009. A lot of visitors came in to congratulate, celebrate and inform themselves about the capabilities of our production. A photo gallery of LO OPEN can be seen here or at menu item "About us > 25th anniversary".
A short article (in german) describes the day and the celebrations at the "Laserhof" in Garbsen.

YAG / Sapphire / ZnSe

LASEROPTIK stocks a selection of IR-transmitting substrates for a fast delivery.
Because CaF2 has a very broad transmission range, we offer a large number of plane and curved substrates in three different qualities of CaF2: VUV-CaF2 for 157nm, UV-CaF2 for 193 nm, 248 nm and 308 nm and VIS-IR quality.

For applications with an absorption free range up to 4 ?m, Sapphire or undoped YAG is recommended. Both materials are very hard and withstand temperatures up to 1000 °C and high pressure.
Sapphire has birefringence and is produced with Ccut (001-orientation) for zero birefringence. Especially for ZnS-coatings, IRG N6 can be used in the same range as IR Fused Silica.
