LASEROPTIK started an "open door" day on September 3.,2009. A lot of visitors came in to congratulate, celebrate and inform themselves about the capabilities of our production. IR - Fused Silica IR-absorption of FS is caused by OH-chemical bond content, most pronounced at wavelength near the water absorption band at 2.7 µm. Reduction in OH can be assured by special manufacturing controls, but mostly at the sacrifice of UV transmittance. An exception is Suprasil 300® with high UV and IR transmission. |
